Skin concerns · Dullness

Dull isn’t a skin type. It’s a reading.

Skin can look flat for several reasons. A slow surface, low water, or a barrier that’s been pushed too hard. Each one calls for something different.

In short

Skin looks dull when old surface cells linger, water is low, or the barrier is stressed. A Vernier reading works out which applies to you. The plan then prepares the surface without stripping it.

The science

What’s happening in your skin.

The surface of your skin renews in a cycle of roughly four to six weeks. When old cells linger, light scatters and skin looks flat.

Low water does the same. So does a stressed barrier, even when it briefly looks bright.

A flush from strong acids photographs as glow. It isn’t. It’s irritation, and it needs another hit to keep the look.

Your reading

What a reading looks at.

Photos show what’s visible. Questions fill in what a camera can’t see. For dullness, these matter most.

Slow, on purpose.

Questions

About dullness.

Why not just use a stronger exfoliant?

Because a flush isn’t a result. Over-exfoliating opens the barrier, raises water loss and leaves skin reactive. Your plan prepares without stripping.

Will I see a glow straight away?

We won’t promise one. Early change is usually comfort first. The surface takes four to six weeks to turn over.
